NineSmart, a company specializing in the Internet of Things, recently provided a set of “Smart Residence” solutions related to PropTech for a high-end single-unit private property located in the Hong Kong Island area, including Smart Intercom, Smart QR Code Access Control, and Smart Booking.

The main feature of this residential project is unmanned management, integrating property technology and IoT elements to achieve a contactless access experience. Residents can easily meet various living needs through the Smart Residence mobile app. To create an excellent living experience, we provide an IoT cloud access control system that supports visitor management and an intuitive, easy-to-use Smart Residence mobile app. The app helps residents manage visitor access, book public facilities, and control elevator operations.

IoT Cloud Access Control System

The Smart Residence mobile app uses innovative IoT technology, allowing residents and visitors to easily enter and exit the building. For example, residents can unlock the main entrance by scanning a QR Code. When passing by the mailbox, they can use Bluetooth technology to unlock their mailbox and retrieve their mail. When residents need to use the elevator control panel, they can scan a QR code to directly reach a specific floor. At the same time, our app also has a Bluetooth elevator call function, allowing residents to leave without waiting for the elevator and pressing floor buttons, achieving contactless access and improving the convenience of using real estate technology.

Property Technology – Visitor Management System

To reduce labor costs, the cloud access control system also provides a visitor management solution. Residents can create a time-limited QR Code for visitors in the Smart Residence mobile app and send it to the invited guests. This way, invited guests can use these QR Codes to access the main entrance and elevator. When guests scan their personal QR Code on the elevator control panel, the elevator will directly go to the resident’s floor, providing a convenient and efficient user experience.

Property Technology – Smart Intercom

For unregistered visitors, such as food delivery drivers and couriers, Smart Residence also includes a Smart Intercom function. When visitors press the floor and unit number on the smart intercom, residents can use the Smart Residence mobile app to make video and voice calls with the camera at the building’s entrance. After verifying the visitor’s identity, residents can easily slide a button on their mobile phone to remotely unlock the entrance, allowing visitors to enter without the need for reception or security staff to confirm their identity again.
